Claudy Jongstra take 3 – the felt wall at Amsterdam Public Library
29Nov12
I have just returned from Amsterdam where I went to witness at first hand Claudy Jongstra’s felt wall. It was fascinating to see in real life. I was interested in the way that the panels had been executed on the wall – with adhesive – and also to see how much the wall had clearly been touched by the public. It was looking a little shabby but I didn’t mind that – it was obviously so enjoyed by the people that experience that amazing library. It will help me greatly when I’m making my own fabric wall which is currently underway.
